Katharine House Hospice in Banbury organises many fundraising events throughout the year. One of the most effective ways to reach a local audience to promote events is through digital advertising. Altair Creative developed a strategy for online promotion and worked with Katharine House Hospice to create and implement:
- Facebook and Instagram adverts
- Google Ad Grants adverts
- Specific targeting of adverts, including remarketing to website visitors
- utm codes for urls to track visitors in Google Analytics
- A social media calendar template
- Reporting on the success of digital campaigns and analysis to inform further testing
Successes
One of the most successful Facebook adverts brought in over £1,000 from one supporter who organised an event at a local cocktail bar. The adverts cost £21.12 generating a return on investment from that one event of 4,635%.
Facebook adverts promoting places in the Oxford Half Marathon to run for Katharine House brought in six bookings in less than two weeks at a cost of £60.
“From audience targeting to creative, Altair Creative has really helped us with our Facebook advertising. We’ve seen a real increase in ticket sales and signups for our fundraising events attributed to social media ads, which in turn helps us to generate more fundraising income and help more people living with a life-limiting illness in our community.”
Chris Higgins, Marketing and Communications Manager at Katharine House Hospice
